The BT – 260 Series of Automatic Bituminous Compactor Hammer is ideally suited for preparing bituminous mix specimens used in Marshall Stability Testing. The compactor automatically simulates hand compaction while maintaining repeatability in compaction results. The trip mechanism is designed so that the hammer falls the same distance for every stroke. A dead weight arrangement on top of the hammer assembly eliminates rebound effects onto the specimen. Through automated compaction, consistent and repeatable results are achieved while reducing operator fatigue. Through this, greater numbers of aphalt mix specimens can be prepared, therefore increasing laboratory productivity.
