The AT – 360 Los Angeles Abrasion Machine is design to conform to ASTM C-131 and AASHTO T-96. these methods cover the procedure for testing crushed rock, slag, uncrushed gravel and crushed gravel for resistance to abrasion in the Los Angeles Abrasion Machine, with an abrasive charge.this machine can also be used for determining the abrasion limits given in ASTM C-33.
The drum on the unit is rotated at 30 to 33 revolution per minute by means of a powerful 3/4 h.p. electric motor and drive system. The counter system on the unit automatically stops the drum rotation after the pre-set number is reached.
